Tenzin Lhawang was born on 21 April, 1972, at Tibetan Children's' Village school.
I did my schooling from the same school and earned my BA degree from Delhi University.
Currently I am serving in the same school as the senior librarian. My interest in photography sparked when I was in class III. My father, who had a deep aesthetic sense, was my constant inspiration. His love for nature, paintings, and especially photography, induced me with an interest in this art. My practical photography started only when I became an earning member of TCV School and saved enough money to buy my first SLR camera in 2000.
I also run a photography club for TCV students where we learn the art together.
Who knows that perhaps it would be one of these young children from TCV school that might bring light and happiness into the world of darkness through photography.
Tenzin Lhawang will present six of his photographs in the Free Spirit Festival.
